SCA Supply Technician / Procurement

The selected candidate will perform a variety of procurement related duties in support of various customers and internal project managers, including:
Research and selection of vendors.
Obtain pricing and availability of required material or for estimating purposes, based on provided specifications, drawings or parts list.
Gather item technical characteristics and/or arrange product demos or sampling.
Prepare purchase requisitions using Deltek.
Research NSN pricing and technical info using Haystack.
Prepare MILSTRIP orders using ERP.
Maintain files and records of material prices, inventories, and deliveries.
Prepare reports and matrixes of procurement status, usage of material and other information to support data calls as required.
Maintains files, logs, and databases for purchases made.
Ensures pertinent information for each purchase is included for budget review and audits.
Coordinates with vendors and shippers to expedite purchased material.
Monitors status of purchases, recording receipts of material, shipment of material, and acknowledgement of material receipts.
Arranging return of discrepant material for repair or replacement.
The incumbent will be expected to coordinate with all facets of BAE Systems - Military Electronics (ME); e.g., engineering, production, testing, administration and project management as well as outside entities, such as Government agencies, commands, OEM, etc.
Requirements: Deltek application experience
ERP - MILSTRIP processing
Experience working with OEM and suppliers for warranty and paid repair/replacements
Experience in performing detailed research from drawings, tech manuals and other documentation in order to locate and contact potential procurement sources for required material/equipment
High school diploma and at least five years related experience
