Navy Fleet Modernization Electrical Engineer I

The selected applicant will apply knowledge of and experience with engineering principles and techniques to investigate designs, develop moderately complex drawings, and evaluate technical reports for Naval Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) Systems to support Navy Modernization Program (NMP).
The applicant will create and analyze moderately complex C4I engineering drawings and documentation and work with new systems and equipment currently deployed aboard US naval surface vessels. Candidate should have a good understanding of various C4I systems used throughout the US Navy.
This position is in California MD in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County Maryland or surrounding areas.

Requirements: Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering
Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work well in a team environment and independently
Preferences: Understanding of communication systems theory of operation
Background in US Navy communications
AutoCAD experience
Microsoft Office experience
Shipboard integration experience
Self-motivation skills
Background in computer networks or computer engineering
