Sr Instructor

Responsible for curriculum revision and maintenance. Technical curriculum may involve electronics, welding, or more highly technical areas such as radio and electronics repair or operation of weapons systems. This instructor uses a computer to organize and draft a curriculum that breaks a complex subject into blocks or units of instruction, creates graphics, and integrates them into curriculum. Courses may be instructor based, computer-based, simulator based, interactive, or non-interactive. This instructor also teaches short technical courses in accordance with approved curriculum to maintain proficiency and to evaluate and develop new instructional techniques/courses. Job duties also include the following: incorporation of new curriculum in the teaching process (e.g., develops clarification or examples of application related to the subject matter), development and maintenance of classroom techniques that reflect professionalism and good discipline and enhance teaching, development of alternative teaching techniques and scenarios to maintain high motivation and interest in the subject areas, and while acting as the testing officer, the conducting of test analysis and development or revision of test items.


Plans, coordinates, and conducts training and related instructional programs for customer personnel.


1. Conducts training sessions and assists in evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.


2. Coordinates logistics for instruction events, including scheduling classes, reserving classrooms, and preparing workstations.


3. Maintains records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness.


4. May participate in the development and establishment of course content and objectives.


5. Updates course documentation as needed to ensure timeliness and relevance.


6. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.


7. Participates in special projects as required.


3-5 years of directly related experience in course instruction.


Active Secret clearance required.


Skills & Abilities

1. Basic knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the delivery of training programs.

2. Basic knowledge of relevant technology or subject matter.

3. Demonstrated effective presentation and communication skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
