Engineer, Hardware

Research, design, develop, or test computer or computer-related equipment for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use. May supervise the manufacturing and installation of computer or computer-related equipment and components. Qualified personnel shall have the foregoing experience relating to operations, maintenance, and repair of hardware and software systems/subsystems supporting voice, video, data, and imagery information.

Designs and develops information processing hardware, computer systems and electrical components.

1. Conducts research, design, development and testing of information processing hardware such as computer chips, circuit boards, computer systems and electrical components.

2. Designs new products and/or modifies existing products.

3. Develops technical specifications for production.

4. Analyzes hardware configuration and processing solutions.

5. Tests hardware performance to specifications.

6. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

7. Participates in special projects as required.

2-5 years of related hardware engineering experience.

Skills and Abilities:

1. Knowledge of hardware engineering principles, methods, and techniques.

2. Knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment.

3. Professional certification in one or more specific technologies may be required, depending on job assignment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
