Associate Officer, Security

Administers and coordinates? facility security activities under the Facility Security Officer for General Dynamics IT Patuxent River office.

1. Administers the DoD security program and other related security activities as the?local?contact?for?Navy customer.

2.?Under the direction of the Facility Security Officer, ensures compliance with government regulations and company policies/procedures.

3. Assists employees in acquiring personal security clearances and NON NISP clearances.

4. Provides?briefings and?applicable trainings to personnel on site.

5. Processes Defense Biometric Identification Data System (DBIDS) credentials.

6. Processes and maintains all outgoing visit authorization requests and ship visit requests (SHVR)?for employees at assigned locations.??

7. Enters and tracks?security?actions into automated system and develops related reports as needed.

8. Maintains all incoming visit authorization requests for individuals/agencies visiting assigned location?in order to vet?access to the facility.

9. Participates in special projects as required.

0-2 years of related experience in facility or industrial security administration, preferably in the government contracting industry.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
