Job Description and Requirements
Business Development Technical Program Manager
General Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Director, Security Technologies and Applied Research, the Business Development Technical Programs Manager (TPM) provides the SNPS Software Integrity Group leverage by evaluating the need for and building relationships with third party organizations that either a) fill a capability gap or b) place SIG technologies into the hands of markets in scalable ways that sales cannot. The TPM is responsible for providing technical direction in the discovery, evaluation, and capture of technology, be it through alliance, partnership, investment, or acquisition. The CPM owns criteria for evaluating software and products, applying them to consulting prototypes, adoption of open source and 3rd party tools, as well as during M&A activities. When necessary, the CPM works with:
Consulting Practice Directors to lead study and evaluation of tools for the intended consulting, managed service use;
SIG Leadership on product due-diligence for acquisition;
R&D Management and Product Management to ready products for channel use;
Alliance, Partner Leadership to establish and execute the parameters of the relationship.
The TPM works closely with management to assess the viability of emerging technology spaces, the opportunities for growth, and develops a plan to exploit these areas. The TPM acts on behalf of the Senior Director as it pertains to their program and partnership activities.
The CPM is a:
Operational owner and technical lead of agreed-upon programs (evaluation, partnership, etc.);
As necessary, mentor to program participants;
Point-of-Contact and operational lead for partner and alliance parties;
Advisor to leadership and educator regarding technology trends.
Qualifications and Experience
Demonstrated experience in software and organizational diligence:
o Ability to critically evaluate products on technical merits
o Evaluate technical direction and organizational capabilities;
Ability to define a program roadmap, and execute autonomously:
o Maintaining relationships with key partner executives;
o Build and execute roadmaps with a cross-departmental team;
Outstanding verbal and written skills:
o Facilitate offering development, customer deliverables, and proposal
o Strong verbal communication skills, clarity of speech and listening ability, across both informal and formal communications; strong ability to persuade/influence decision-makers with technical evidence;
10-20% average travel expectation;
Project Management: ability to:
o Gives direction to project leads and governs their successful task execution without oversight;
o Oversee multiple concurrent teams of consultants across programs;
o Escalate to executive management quickly when necessary;
Education and Certifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, Masters degree a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
