Sr Analyst, Acquisition

Analyzes acquisition data (such as financial/budget information, congressional tracking, programmatic support, etc.) and makes recommendations for program improvements.? Assists the Lead Government Logistician in completing procurement actions leading to contracts.??


1. Applies knowledge of the defense acquisition process to support customers in the analysis and improvement of acquisition programs.


2. Assists government procurement agencies in defining proposals and qualifying vendors.


3. Devises strategies for developing and implementing new acquisition program initiatives and measuring the effectiveness of implementation.


4. Uses quantitative analytical techniques to assess system acquisition process issues and develop risk reduction/mitigation approaches for improving acquisition/program planning, control, and execution.


5. Analyzes standard contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operational characteristics, and related reports for assigned contracts to determine spares provisioning or maintenance/repair requirements.


6. Prepare Procurement Status Reports.


7. Prepare Procurement Initiation Documents (PID) related to Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Case Management.


8. Develops logistics plans to facilitate the movement of initial delivery and "Repair and Return" (ROR) material.


9. May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts.


10.?Participates in special projects as required including planning and execution of international meetings.


11. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.


5-8 years of related acquisition management experience for a government contractor, or related military experience.? FMS experience preferred. Missile experience, particualrly "Air to Air" desired but not necessary.?

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
