We have summer internship opportunities available across the U.S;including Minnesota, California, Colorado,Connecticut, Arizona, Massachusetts and Florida. Ourinternships are full-time (40 hours/week), paid positions that are 11-12 weeksin length. We offer housing assistance (for out of state interns), relocationexpense reimbursement, and educational and social events throughout the summer.

A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
This is a temporary position.
Responsible for performing and supporting research for teams operating within a service group, or product group and/ or project group.
Assists with the development, monitoring, coordination and implementation of technical projects as assigned.
Provides analysis, reporting and internal communication services with team members.
Develops knowledge of industry and organizational processes.
We have opportunities in both product design andmanufacturing development/design, where under the leadership of seniorengineers you will use state-of-the-art engineering tools and methods to eitherdesign/develop products to be used by physicians on patients, or furtherdevelop the manufacturing methods used to produce those medical technologyproducts.
ME: Product design/development positions offeropportunity to perform evaluations on mechanical concepts for future technologyof implantable devices, and to develop and improve manufacturing methods,systems and processes to produce high quality product at optimal cost.Responsibilities include documenting requirements of design concepts,evaluating mechanical aspects of prototype concepts, performing design tests toevaluate and verify current designs to specified results, using data obtainedfrom technician support to verify the functionality of product design and drawconclusions for evaluation, designing product components, circuitry or hardwarefrom detailed concept descriptions, troubleshooting and problem solving yourassigned portion of the design project, and developing test methodology andspecifications.
ME: Manufacturing design/development positions offeropportunity to develop, implement and improve manufacturing methods, systemsand processes to produce a high-quality product which meets designspecifications at optimal cost. You willdetermine requirements of manufacturing operations to specify equipment,fixturing, and process parameters; develop plans to evaluate process repeatabilityand stability through equipment qualification and process validation;continuously improve manufacturing methods, optimize product performance andreduce manufacturing costs; assist with detailed cost analyses of particularmanufacturing changes; provide engineering support to manufacturing operationon a routine basis; address product related issues arising on the productionfloor; recommend appropriate staffing levels to support manufacturingrequirements; define and generate all required documentation in support ofmanufacturing products and processes, including engineering protocols, reports,manufacturing instructions and procedures; and ensure compliance with GMPs andinternal protocol.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Undergraduate student with a sophomore or junior level in standing
Working towards a bachelor's degree in mechanicalengineering or related engineering major
A minimum 3.0 out of a 4.0 cumulative GPA
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. on afull-time basis and does not require sponsorship in the future for anemployment visa
Able to participate full time (40 hours/week), in 1 of our 2 cohorts:
Cohort 1: Tuesday, May 28 - Friday, August 16
Cohort 2: Monday, June 17 - Friday, August 30

Prior work on projects in a team environment
Relevant academic projects and/or internship experience helpful

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
