Patient Account Rep/Liaison

Patient Account Rep/Liaison reports to the Transplant Institute Front Desk Section Supervisor.
Serves as frontline patient relations ambassador for the Institute by handling complaint management.
Maintain clinic schedules for multiple providers and services that accommodate a growing patient population.
Responsible for authorization management and accurate posting to minimize EPIC edits and optimize billing.
Facilitates clinic flow with check in, check out, standby list, and demographic/insurance updates.
The employee must comply with the operational working hours of the department and adhere to the policies and procedures of the department and Loma Linda University Health Care/System.
Performs other duties as needed.
High School diploma or GED required.
Minimum six months of customer service, general office or receptionist vocational training experience required, preferably in healthcare and insurance verification / authorization.
Customer Service Training modules within 90 days of hire.
Able to keyboard 40 wpm.
Able to use a computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (eg, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position.
Able to work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction.
Able to think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision.
Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
